50 Lap Classic for Speedcars

50 LAPS OF Speedcar action, can there be anything better .Race fans will be in for a treat this Saturday night as the NSW Speedcar Association in conjunction with Valvoline raceway host the50 lap action classic.

50 laps around a 460 meter oval might look easy but at lighting speeds, side way through the corner it is exhilarating for drivers and race fans.

Over the years there have been many exciting 50 lap races throughout Australia, The Ekka in Queensland the Old Showground Speedway in Sydney but certainly none better that last year’s shootout at Sydney Valvoline raceway between Mark Brown and Adam Clarke. The duel over the last 40 laps was a cracker on all levels.

Only an incident in the dying laps when Clarke suffered tyre damage ended the challenge and Mark Brown emerged a worthy winner.

Returning this year is Victorian ace Travis Mills and Western Australian Dayne Kingshott the inaugural winner of the Speedcar Pro Series. Looking for his pot of cash during the 50 Lap will be another fast West Australian lee Redman

The POWRi Super Series Winner Brett Thomas has travelled down from sunny Queensland to head up the Northern challenge.

American and New Zealand visitor over the years have taken our Classic Trophy home and this Saturday night another Kiwi Champion will try to master the clay at the valvoline Raceway. Brock Maskovich will hot foot the Toby Abson’s speedcar as the team tries to capture the classic. Maskovick has had a super season climaxed by his win in the recent Barry Butterworth Classic. Brock took on and beat Pickens, Mosen and Williams before claiming the coveted trophy.
