Thanks giving dinner with the Turkey Night Grand Prix trophy on the table together with the National USAC Midget Title is the main focus of Rico Abreu, Christopher Bell and Tracey Hines as they head into the three nights of racing at Perris Auto Speedway
Going into the Turkey Night show a mere 26 separates Bell from Abreu with Hine a further 10 points back. As the three chase the USAC Title for 2014
The final three nights of the National USAC Midget Championship schedule takes place at Perris Auto Speedway with the running of the 74th Turkey Night Grand Prix.
The Turkey Night Grand Prix dates back to 1934 when it was first run at the famous Gilmour Stadium .After the last Turkey night at Gilmore in 1950 thereafter the event was run at various Southern Californian tracks. The race has been run on both dirt and asphalt

The first Turkey Night Grand Prix winner was Bob Swanson,

Swanson a hall of fame inductee who was tragically killed in 1940 during a qualifying run for a midget show .The Turkey Night Grand Prix has seen many of the top USAC driver take home the trophy.
Bill Vulkovich, Perry Grimm, Tony and Garry Bettenhausen, AJ Foyt, Mel Kenyon. More recently Tony Stewart, Jason Leffler,Bryan Clauson ,Kyle Larson and the 2007 and defending Champion Dave Darland
Dave Darland beat home Brad Sweet and Caleb Armstrong for the 2013 Title aboard his Keith Ford owned King Racing Products A&A Precision#73 Ellis/Fontana
Abreu finished in 8th, Hines 11th and Bell 21st .The one lap track record is held by Parker Price-Miller set in 2013 at 16.889

The Turkey Night Grand Prix 98 laps “Turkey Night” in honor of J.C. Agajanian; Irwindale Speedway.
