The 18th Krikke Boys Shootout was again run at the Bunbury Car Clubs track in Western Australia. The Krikke Boys Shootout is all about racing but the Krikke Boys Shootout remembers the two young Krikke boys Darryl and Jason lost in a horrid car crash on the way home from the old Claremont Speedway in 1997.
This year was the 18th running of the event, a two night show with the final run over 30 laps on the Sunday night.
The Krikke Boys Shootout a very special event has attracted many of the greatest Sprintcars drivers from Australia and the US. US Champions Jason Johnson and Shane Stewart have won the shootout. Australians Robbie Farr, Max Dumesny and the late Michael Figliomeni have also carried the trophy home.

The 18th running of the shootout was a Brooke Tatnell benefits winning both the preliminary and the Shootout final .Tatnell took the wins on both nights ahead of Australian Outlaws Kerry Madsen with Robbie Farr gaining the final shootout podium.
Robbie Farr , a six times shootout winner had the honor of carrying the race number #95 for Shootout. 95 the race number that young Darryl krikke ran has become iconic symbol of this special race.

Brooke Tatnell and the Krikke Motorsports Team could not have asked for a better finish to Tatnell’s duties behind the wheel of the W2 race car. World Series Sprintcar Title and now the Krikke Boys Shoot.
