Dale Blaney wins at Sharon

Sharon Speedway and nigh four of the Ohio Speedweek Dale Blaney wins for the second time this week James McFadden and Jamie Veal stood alongside the Low Rider as the trophies were handed out .
Blaney and Ryan Smith headed the 25 cars into the first corner and Blaney would hold the lead throughout the 30 lap Feature. James Mcfadden in the Gaerte/Norman 3G was right on the pace and on lap 8 raced around Smith to secure second
Young Haudenschild had the #93 running a lighting pace as he aimed for his third straight win for the week. The young Huds challenge came to a sudden stop after jumping a competitor wheel in turn four, flipped and the once beautiful #93 was but a shadow of itself, crumpled and looking very dusty. Sheldon was not injured .The young “Hud” has certainly jumped out of his legendary father’s shadow this season and along with Dale Blaney remains the favorite to take out Speedweek

Three-time Sharon winner, Danny Holtgraver, was setting a cracking pace and looked like a serious threat to McFadden and Blaney but as so often happens something broke on the racecar sending him hard into the turn two fence and upside down. Cruel blow, 19 laps remained.
Out in front Blaney had to concern himself with McFadden who had closed up in traffic while Jamie Veal had consolidated his third position.
The Buckeye Bullet” Dave Blaney had been putting down some of the fastest laps as drove from his starting spot of 9 to close in on Jamie Veal ,but the laps were not there and Dave Blaney had to be content with fourth

The win has allowed Dale Blaney to get one hand on the $25,000 bonus with Sheldon Haudenschild for the driver who wins 5 features, but with four races still to be run it is still up for grabs.

The Australian boys lead by McFadden and Veal are clearly showing the benefits of their racing experience from previous US campaigns .McFadden with three podium must be fancied for a race win in this series before its concludes at Fremont Speedway June 27th.Both McFadden and Veal have race wins in the States to their credit .

Danny Reidy and Sean Zemunik have raced hard during the Speedweek and the experience they are gaining from racing at 5 different tracks over nine days ,all requiring different set ups will be of enormous value to each of them .Racing against the best is a challenge and in the word of a great Aussie football coach “DONE GOOD”

Dave Blaney “ “It’s been awhile, but I always enjoy coming back here,” expressed the 51-year-old Hartford, Ohio native. “There’s a lot of tradition. My dad, brother, and uncle have won a lot of races here. It’s a great place- four miles up the road. If I had to pick a race to win this week it’d be here. Hopefully we can come back in a couple weeks and see if we can get a second one at dad’s memorial. We’ve had bad dash draws the last two nights drawing a 10 and an 11. I wasn’t good enough to make up any ground, but tonight we had a great dash draw. Getting out in clean air was good- we’ll take it!”

James Mcfadden “It was a good night for us to come here for our first time and run second to Dale is pretty cool,” expressed McFadden. “I thought we had something for him in lapped traffic there, but we kept getting the yellows. Full credit to the team- it was a real nice race car to drive tonight, but we were one spot shy so hopefully tomorrow night we can get up on the top step. Hopefully we can keep this momentum rolling.”

Jamie Veal “The team did a great job tonight,” stated Veal. “We weren’t that good last night, but to come here tonight and get a podium is great. We’re trying a few different things to keep things rolling, and to run third to Dale and James McFadden who are two of the best in the world is pretty cool.”
