The in creditable talents of Rico Abreu have not been missed by the money men in NASCAR .The USAC National Midget Champ and now the 2015 Chili Bowl Champion Abreu’s amazing short career heads to the pinnacle of Speedway Racing in the States NASCAR. 2014 was a breakout year for Abreu winning 26 races in 2014 in Midget and Sprintcars in the US and New Zealand.

Abreu will get his first taste of Stockcar racing this weekend in Florida at New Smyrua Speedway in the NASCAR sanctions Pete Orr Memorial Super Late Model 100. Abreu will make his debut in the K&N Pro Series at the same Florida track on February 15th Talking Speedway understands that this program is just part of the driver development agreement with Chip Ganassi Racing .
Abreu joins teammates William Byron, J.J. Haley, Scott Heckert and Dalton Sargeant to complete the roster for the newly-formed HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks five-car team. Abreu from Rutherford, California. will race all 14 events in the K&N Pro Series . Dirt track race fans can relax because the little master will continue his open wheel racing with the Kunz Midget Team and his Sprintcar partners.

Rico on the announcement “It’s a little mind-blowing considering that I really just started racing big cars full time, what, three years ago?” Abreu said. “I’m excited. But this is a pretty big step.” Then he added, laughing, “This is where I’m supposed to make a joke about every step being a big step for me, right?”
“As a full-time open-wheel driver on dirt, I’m aware that there will be a learning curve for me this season. Knowing that Harry (Scott) and Justin (Marks) have faith in me to be successful in stock cars is a great confidence boost. I’m up for the challenge and look forward to learning from my teammates and making the most out of this season.”

The impact that Kyle Larson arrival had on the NASCAR in 2014 was massive and the arrival of the little man with the biggest right foot in Speedway will be just as big.
