Classic Boil Over Corey McCullagh Wins

Corey McCullagh the young low budget racer from Warnambool arrived on the big stage last night with a Classic drive from position 9 to claim the 46th running of the Grand Annual Classic at Warnambool’s Premier Speedway

The biggest Sprint car event outside of the Knoxville Nationals draws an International field from the US and every State of Australia .  A Classic race win sought after by every racer who has ever strapped him or herself into a Sprintcar.

World of Outlaw winners, Current and past National Champions and former Classic winners would have been the punters favorites but the money men had not counted on the commitment, determination and the drive to fulfill a lifetime dream of the young Warnambool racer.

Rolling to the starting line in 9th position with many seasoned professional ahead McCullough certainly had the job ahead .Passing many of our best included past Classic winner McFadden and getting the better of both pole sitters Carson Macedo and Brooke Tatnell.

To get to the top step of the podium McCullock had to best 110 drivers over three days to collect the biggest prize and create the biggest upset in Australian Speedway history before collecting the $30,000 and for Bread delivery driver McCullagh that’s real dough!

Next stop for the 2018 SWC Conveyancing Grand Anual Classic Champion will now head back across the border to compete for the Australian Sprintcar Championship at Borderline Speedway Mount Gambier .in South Australia.
