Isaac became the first ever paraplegic to win a major Sprintcar race .Former Knoxville Champion Justin Henderson and the experienced Jack Dover were in the field.
Schreurs continues his racing and this week was part of the POWRi Illinois Midget Speed Week driving his own car with the support of Shame Hmiel and Great Clips Racing. The pairing of Schreurs and Hmiel goes back to December 13 2014 when Schreurs drove in the Great Clips Battle at Du Quoin

.
Hmiel and Schreurs both faced similar challenges and have had to work hard to overcome hurdles as they battled the odds to reach their goals, Hmiel as a successful racecar owner and Schreur as a race driver .
The courage and determination that Schreurs displays is amazing and is inspirational to those many people with disabilities .Just to be in field let alone exchanging slides with the likes of Abreu, Bell and Clauson is a feat not many of us could ever hope to achieve

While Schreurs results during the POWRi Illinois Speedweek were less than he might have expected his presence in the pits and the sight of this amazing young racer working the spanners preparing his car must be inspiring to all those parked in the pit enclosure.
Darren Hagan and Christopher Bell were tied on points at the conclusion of the POWRi Illinois Speed Weekweeks and declared joint Champions .
