Stewart Aims for Third Golden Driller in Chili Bowl Return

Stewart BlackLatest news out of Tulsa , Tony Stewart is entered in the Chili Bowl . The three times Nascar Champion and super dirt track star will drive the special-edition black, carbon-fiber entry labeled the “Black Magic” number14 TSR /Chevrolet  Performance / Spike.. Tony is well prepared coming into the Bowl with an all the way win in the recent 40 lap Powri Lucas Oil National Midget Series held on the one sixth of mile Mini Magic at the Southern Illnois  Centre in the DuQuoin.

Stewart is a two times winner of the Bowl in 2002 and 2007. Stewart has won in every class on dirt , been in the action at the Indy 500 there is no more complete racer around today and he is sure to give the Chili Bowl at RED HIT GO !

Young Aussies to battle for Chili Bowl honours

Chili Bowl LogoThe Tulsa Fairgrounds in Oklahoma and the Chili Bowl Nationals will be home for two young Aussie racers hoping to  have their name on the trophy after the 50 event

Brad Cox from  Gunnedah  NSW , now living and racing full time in the states and Alex Orr from Tacoma in NSW will take their place in a field full of seasoned professionals  .

Just to progress into the main feature race after 5 grueling days of wheel to wheel action in qualifying and heat races will be enormous achievement .Highly talented and committed racers they both have our support and best wishes for a safe and successful Lucas Oil Chili Bowl

Brad will be driving the Brian Buckwalter / Elite / Ott Chevrolet / Buckwalter Roofing / VRP Shocks / .

Alex will be driving the Mark Bush Associates / Spike / Esslinger.

Chili Bowl Entries climb

Entries stand at 162 for the 27th running of the Chili Bowl . Entries include 2005 winner Tracey Hines and Father and Son Sammy and Kevin Swindell. The Swindell’s have won the title a staggering 8 times between them . Both will drive Spike chassis powered by Esslinger.

Among the field with a strong chance is the current USAC  Champ Bryan Clauson  in another Spike with Esslinger power.

Chili Bowl to support the fight against Cancer in Kids

NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon and his charity will continue through his foundation to support the Kick it event at the 27th running of the Chili Bowl. The ki-it kick ball games has been a a blistering success at both the Knoxville Nationals and the Western World events.

This is another example of Speedway helping to rid our children of these nasty  and horrible illness .

Chili Bowl Update

As the track for the Chili Bowl starts to take shape it is interesting to know that the clay being use today is in fact the same clay that they used for the very first Bowl in 1987. The clay comes from the old fairgrounds.and will transform the Tulsa Expo Center into the famed Chili Bowl .

Spectator stands  and pit facilities are all on schedule .

Chili Bowl -Update

Bryan Hulbert – Tulsa, Oklahoma reports that the first loads of clay have moved into the Tulsa Fair Grounds in preparation for the building of the quarter mile track. The track will take shape over the coming weeks when the indoor venue becomes the Chili Bowl.In the pre-entry list is Australian Alex Orr from Tacoma . Alex will be behind the wheel of the Mark Bush Associates Spike/Esslinger . There will be lots of support for Alex as he takes of the cream of the Americans dirt trackers .

Chili Bowl Nationals arrive 2 weeks after Christmas

The biggest midget event in the Speedway world  The Chili Bowl Nationals  just  weeks away . The first Chili Bowl National was held in 1987 and in 2013 will still be presented by Emmentt Hahn and Lanny Edwards.

A start in the Chili Bowl is on every race car drivers bucket list . The biggest names in Speedway  including Nascar , World of Outlaws and Indy drivers all want their name on the trophy.  The Tulsa State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma offers a indoor circuit with clay base that is protected from the sun and wind and when saturated offers the race car driver the very best racing surface..Sitting in the bleachers the fans have a never to be repeated race experience . The first race winner in 1987 was Rich Volger . Current Chili Bowl National Champion Kevin Swindell will attempt to win his third successive Bowl in January.

Qualifying start on January 10 and runs nightly to January 13 with the Championship night January 14.
