The first ever blog for Talking Speedway with inspiration coming from a picture above my desk which celebrates the end of an era at the old Sydney Showground Speedway . Tattersall, Freeman and Stewart racing at blistering speeds, sideways through the D shapes corners of that great old track.

The track now long gone but the memories remain and are relived by the action of the race drivers today around tracks across the country. This coming Saturday night December 8 Sydney Speedway , Granville will run a program of Wingless Sprints, Late Models, Street Stocks, AMCA Nationals, Formula 500’s, Fender Benders .Archerfield and Toowomba in Queensland and Perth have programs on the 8th December with a variety of classes on track.
