Final preparations are being put together to send both Brad Mosen and Hayden Williams to compete in the mid-west in June 2015. The timing seemed to be right with both drivers currently at the top of their game.

The plan is to take both drivers as one team to race in both the POWRi National Midget Week and the USAC National Midget Week. “The schedule is tight, with 9 race meetings in 11 days” said Geoff Harper from Harper Leonard Racing. ‘We are taking everything we will need along with a comprehensive spares package including spare engines for both cars as it is tough up there and we want to be ready for anything” he said.

The cars have to be flown to the USA due to the west coast having a 3 month backlog due to a recent wharf strike.  “It doesn’t work out to be too bad” said Greg Mosen – Team BSL Manager, “we simply can’t afford to have the cars sitting in a port somewhere with the tight schedule we have on this trip and it is important we have both these drivers running their own cars’.

The pair off Aggressors will head off to LA in late April, where two new Esslinger engines will be waiting to be fitted into each car. HLR Racing had planned to purchase the extra engine anyway, and with the recent sale of Brads engine, this all seemed to work out perfectly.

There will be a number of Kiwi supporters in the US this year watching the boys run, with around 25 already booked through Tim Malone at House of Travel – Albany.
