The battle for the USAC / AMSOILS / Sprintcar Title continues at Lawrenceburg this Saturday night .Bryan Clauson and Dave Darland will take their season long duel into the Lawrenceburg show with a mere 2 points separating them .
Five races remain in the 2013 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car series. Following Saturday’s Lawrenceburg race are two October races at Peoria, Ariz. and two in November at Perris, California.
The season finale for Lawrenceburg Speedway will feature the Four Abreast for Breasts/Pretty in Pink Night to promoter Breast Cancer Awareness.
Kevin Thomas Jr leads the wins with 6 followed by Clauson and Darland with 5 wins a piece. The constancy of Clauson and Darland see both racers well ahead of Thomas in the points as they run into Lawrenceburg. Through the course of the AMSOIL Championship chase 11 separate drivers have parked in Victory lane.
To win the 38th race in the AMSOIL Series on such a special night will mean much more than points. Hopefully with the continuing exposure and increased awareness the dreaded cancer might soon be a thing of the past .Let’s hope that day comes sooner than later.
