All roads lead to Archerfield Speedway and the ARTS 50 Lap Classic

The winter chill is slowly starting to take over from the warmth of summer down under .It is at this time of the year that the Australian Speedway Season starts to wind down.
American Tire and Racing Services present the 50 Lap Classic this Saturday night at the Supa Cheap Archerfield Speedway. This will be the fifth time the Classic has been run at Archerfiled

Last week end in Sydney the Valvoline Raceway hosted their 50 Classic and now the attention moves to Brisbane.
Nathan Smee set the standard last week with his demolition of what was a classy field to win the 50 Lap Classic. Taking the lead after only 9 laps Smee not only took the lion’s share of the bonus lap money but left no one in any doubt that he will be the man to beat in the Brisbane 50 Lap Classic.

New Zealand visitor Brock Mastovich proved with his fourth placing that the Kiwi drivers cannot be underestimated at any track. The Kiwi will be driving the Keith McAllen Mac/EagleWA 11 normally driven by Australian Champion Adam Clarke.
Western Australian is well represented in the 50 Lap event with Current Speedcar Pro Series Champion Dayne Kingshott and the ever reliable Lee Redmond .Darren Vine who last Saturday night won the Australian Compact Speedcar Title will swap Compact for a Mighty Midget to take on the 50 Lap feature.
Joining Mastovich in the Classic will be four Kiwi Expats, Michael Kendall the current Queensland Champion, Andy Hassan, Gavin Wesble and Kaz Fahey.
Michael Kendall and Darren Palmer together with Current POWRi Champion Brett Thomas will be strong contender as the 28 cars face the heats and strive for one of the 20 spots in the 50 Lap feature and go for a share the $10,000 on offer that’s includes bonus lap and prize money down to 20th position.
